April Fools Day on Days of our Lives

Today, Days of our Lives presented an April fools episode. First they took us to the world where Belle and Phillip were a couple.  Then John killed Marlena. Read on for more about April Fools Day on Days of our Lives.

Belle and Phillip

So today’s episode had Belle and Phillip a couple.  They discovered that Claire was really Phillips and they got back together. Claire seemed okay with this whole thing.  The only problem Claire seemed to have was with Chloe.

Chloe

In this universe Chole was a pop star.  A very self indulgent diva.  Claire sets out to get ahead of her and does this by killing her. Claire remains front and center in April fools storylines by visit Jan in the hospital.  Jan had just come out of her coma and Claire seeks advice from her.

Shawn visits Jan

Claire wasn’t the only one visiting Jan.  Shawn is there as she wakes up to get a statement from her about John strangling her.  He informs her that John is about to be put to death.  We will get to that in a moment.  There are some cute little moments between these two actors which show you there is some spark.  Makes you wonder if they will take this back to regular Days?

Zander

At first they make us think that Zander has joined the Priesthood but we quickly discover that is not the case at all. It was pretty priceless seeing Zander with a Priest collar on.

Sami and John

In this universe Sami is executioner. She is there to give John the shot that will kill him.  Sami enjoys her banter with John recounting old gripes she had from their past.  John quip’s “I thought you were over this?”  Sami will never forget seeing her mother on that board room table.  Belle gets to the execution room just in time for the Governor to call and say he doesn’t give clemency to her father.  Sami is just about to administer the poison when Marlena (who is supposed to be dead) reveals that John didn’t kill her. That he had killed Haddie instead.  The attitude was, no biggie, it was just Haddie.  Pretty funny stuff.

Baby Stefano

The most ridiculous of the alternative universe storyline was Steve and Kayla.  Kayla was impregnated with the clone of Stefano DiMera.  She pushes out a baby that apparently has a goatee at Brady’s Pub.  She refuses to breast feed so Steve goes to get formula and a bottle.  He comes back to find the baby has walked out of the Pub.  They end up at the DiMera Mansion where they wink and let on that it was really just APRIL FOOLS DAY.  Let me ask you this. How many of you could actually envision a little Stefano baby scurrying out the Pub?

A twist

It was pretty interesting how they cut right to the present with Shawn and Belle and the hospital where they acknowledge to the viewer that Jan is awakening from her Coma.

In conclusion

April Fools Day on Days of our Lives
