(October 30, 2019) – The brand new Country Outdoors Podcast, from the Outdoor Sportsman Group, gives fans a new way to connect with their favorite country music artist by discussing outdoor lifestyle topics. Various artists chat with hosts, Mary O’Neill and Mitch Petrie, about their love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing as well as their music. Craig talks about growing up in South Georgia and not being able to participate in sports because both his parents worked. 
“It was either outside or sit down and play the piano, so those were the two options I had growing up. Growing up with the outdoors wasn’t something I chose. It’s just what it was, but there’s nothing I would change about it.” Craig then continues to talk about his music stating, “outdoor living has been influential in my music.”

Not only does Mitch have skills in whipping up a fresh rabbit stew, he also has experience working in the outdoor entertainment industry. He was first connected to the production field through a buddy that he met when he was working for a manufacturing company for shooting range products, Steve Puppe. T

hey then became partners with Steve in producing a show called “Wardens” on the Outdoor Channel. Most of his work was behind the scenes in handling the camera or managing the business aspects of the program. Petrie has always been energized both by the outdoors and by the people who write, play and enjoy country music.
