A Star that always shined the brightest

Fans of One Life To Live know exactly who Kristen Alderson is and how talented she happens to be.  Kristen played Star Manning from the time she was 6 years old until the soap ended when she was 21.  The character of Star was a fan favorite. Growing up One Life To Live

Daily viewers of One Life To Live watched Kristen grow up before their eyes. They also got to see her little brother get a role on the soap when he was also 6 years old. Kristen reveals that her brother Eddie got a role on the show as he was on set since he was a baby.  When you think of it, the TV set must have felt like 2nd homes for both of them. Eddie landed the role Matthew Buchanan, son of Bo Buchanan and lawyer Mom Nora Hanen Gannon.

The Mannings

Todd Manning and Blair Cramer were the fictional parents of character Star Manning and Jack Manning. Manning was portrayed by Roger Howarth who is currently portraying Austin on General Hospital.  When Roger first appeared on General Hospital, he arrived as Todd Manning. At the time, ABC was having issues with Prospect Park and they made ABC’s General Hospital drop the characters of Todd, Blair and Star.

Blair Cramer Manning was portrayed by Kassie DePaiva, another fan favorite from One Life To Live. The family went through a lot of ups and downs but always over came everything together.  Since Roger has been on General Hospital, he has been Todd Manning, Franco Baldwin (Scotty’s illegitimate son) and now he is Austin and related to the Quartermaines.  They don’t let Roger go but they haven’t seemed to be able to find a good spot for him.

STATE OF MIND

Everyone’s Little Darlin KRISTEN ALDERSON interviewed on Maurice Benard “State of Mind”

During Kristen’s interview with Maurice on State of Mind, she discloses much about her real life relationship with Chad – a/k/a Michael. She also talks about her brother Eddie’s cancer battle, how she wanted to be a waitress and her current boyfriend Taylor.  In addition, we find out that she wouldn’t hesitate one minute if she were invited back to the soap world as Star Manning. She loves the character whom has  remained a part of her all these years. Now that the Prospect Park issues are resolved, is it possible for Star to come home.  How about we let General Hospital and ABC we want to see Star back on TV?

This episode is a must see as Maurice reveals a journey his family is on and how he should have done it Kristen’s way. Thank you Maurice for this interview. It was heartwarming.
