Death’s come in 3’s

Yes, we have heard it said that deaths come in three’s.  If that is true, we hope the dying is over and done with for now at the sound stages of the 60 year old soap, General Hospital. Some might say, “well the show is 60 years old, of course people are going to pass.”  The fact is that two of the recent deaths were with women who were both under the age of 60.  Read on for General Hospital suffers deaths in three’s over the past 5 months.

3 Lovely ladies

These 3 lovely ladies were so important to General Hospital. Sonya who portrayed Epiphany was the glue that held the nursing staff together at General Hospital. The last time we saw her, she was going off to take her MEDICAL BOARDS EXAMS to become a doctor. The writers had her pass her boards and become a doctor off screen. They let her die doing what she loved, helping someone in a car accident that then took her life. The episode that paid tribute to her was beautiful and poignant.

Nneka Garland was a producer of the show that all the cast members went to for pep talks.  Every single cast member continues to mourn her loss. She was a true friend and guidance for them all.

Bobbie Spencer was a legacy character on the show. Without her arrival there may never have been a Luke and Laura story which put the soaper into super soaper status. Jacklyn Zeman was loved by all and the character of Bobbie is irreplaceable. We hope they are planning a happy ending farewell for the character so she can live forever in our minds. Perhaps that is what is happening as it was announced that Scotty was being written off.  Bobbie and Scotty have been on again and off again for the entire history of the show. We don’t want to lose Scotty but maybe the writers are having them ride off into the sunset, the happy ending Bobbie always wanted.
