Joey, who is ½ the country duo Joey + Rory was diagnosed with cervical cancer almost 2 years ago. After a hysterectomy, radiation and chemotherapy that wasn’t working, she opted to stop treatments and live what time she had left feeling as best she could so she could spend that time with her family.
She, her husband Rory and their toddler daughter went to the state of Indiana’s, Joey’s home state to spend time with their family last October when they made the decision to stop treatment. They have stayed in Indiana to be by Joey’s family especially since one of her sisters is a nurse and is seeing to her care.

Her husband Rory is a rock and shares with the world this journey they are on. They are both filled with faith and love for the Lord and do not fear what comes next. They are living for every moment of every day and making beautiful memories.
