Mel Tillis prayers and birthday wishes from friends were delivered to Melvin Tillis on his special day.  He turned 84 on August 8th and fellow country artists and industry professionals wanted to make sure he felt the love. Tillis underwent colon surgery back in January and he is still healing from all of that. Fellow country stars took to YouTube to create a Happy Birthday and get well wishes video for him for his birthday.

In the video, his friends reveal that he is currently and still under professional medical care.  Pam Tillis, daughter of Mel Tillis had this to say.

“Thank you all for making this day so special for Daddy.”  “This year has been tough for him but we continue to see improvements as the days go by. Right now, he’s in assisted living since he needs special wound care and rehabilitation. We hope to have him home soon. Our family thanks you all for the outpouring of love. We’ve been truly touched. Continued prayers for Daddy are appreciated.”
