MAURICE INTERVIEWS SARAH JOY BROWN

So if you are like me, you have been watching General Hospital forever.  I can  honestly say that Sarah was my favorite Carly.  She is an incredible actress and has such a range of expressions and emotions she brings to the set, the plot, and any scene she is in. History and Chemistry

As a forever viewer, I can tell you that some of the scenes that these two did together were the best in soap opera history. Below is a scene where Carly catches Jason dancing with Elizabeth. She immediately goes to find Sonny and this interaction takes place.

Chemistry remains

While watching this interview, I am reminded of the extreme chemistry that apparently still remains between these two individuals. It would be nice if General Hospital could bring Sarah back.  Not as another character but as Carly.  Great writing could have the Carly we have come to know for the past 12 or so years be the actual twin to the real Carly portrayed by Sarah. I mean like why not?  After all, Nina had twins, why couldn’t Bobbi of had twin daughters separated at birth?  How cool would that be?  Bring Sarah back as the original Carly but please don’t bring her back as Claudia Zacchara.

Think about all the avenues Laura and her character could explore. Maybe make Laura the EVIL twin to Carly.  Call her Evangeline.  Evangeline showed up in Port Charles a few years after her twin and wanted her twins life.  She kidnapped her twin and has kept her in some kind of holding cell all these years. She (Evangeline) is not Michael’s mother but she was Morgan’s mother and she is Donna’s mother.  What a great twist that would be. It would also give Bobbi another daughter (has anyone ever gotten over the death of Barbara Jean?) It would also give General Hospital another Spencer.

Bring back Sarah Joy Brown and Tyler Christopher

Maurice, if you are reading this, tell the powers that be that bringing back Sarah and Tyler, the two original actors would send the ratings through the stratosphere.  In addition, I don’t think it was ever made clear why Sarah left GH in the first place.  Now, after your interview we know it was because she was very young and wanted to see what else was out there.  She was also a young mother suffering from Celiac Disease and didn’t know what it was at the time. She explained leaving was like not staying married because you were afraid you would be giving up your best life.  Sarah won 3 Emmy’s before she was 25. That is amazing. She also talks about an illness and a disability she has learned to cope with and lives her best life now.

I am not going to tell you anything else. You are just going to have to watch this most excellent interview and see for yourself that the chemistry between these two actors is still there.  Just imagine what kind of interference the return of Sarah as the original Carly could cause between Sonny and Nina?
